The Gila Preservation Society is dedicated to the preservation of the Gila National Forest and its surrounding communities.  Maintaining the authenticity of homes in this area is important as it works towards preserving the history of structures in surrounding areas and small towns.  As manufactured progress trends upward, there also needs to be an effort made to uphold the heritage, culture and history of small mining towns, indigenous roots, and wildlife of the surrounding Gila Wilderness.
